Process Approach in ISO 9001

ISO 9000 highly recommends that you make approach following a synchronous process (Article 2.4, ISO 9000).

General requirements

The process is a combination of relevant operations performed in an appropriately orderly way in order to produce/result in high quality products for the organization. In general, the process is a production flow that manufactures useful products for both internal and external “customers”. In order to function effectively, the organization should identify and manage many processes that interact with the others. Normally, the output of this process will become input of the next. Therefore, identifying and managing systematic processes implemented in the organization with special care about their interactions are called “the Process Approach”.

The nature of ISO 9000 can be briefly described as follows:

• Seeing through the needs and expectations of customers and relevant parties;
• Identifying necessary policies, goals and working environment to develop the organization to meet these needs and expectations;
• Establishing and providing resources as well as managing system of processes in order to meet the planned goals;
• Measuring and analyzing the efficiency and result of each process during the implementation to achieve each goals;
• Continuously improving on basis of evaluation of system capacity.
